This  is not being written with the help of any approved statistics but from quite extensive experience. I have widely travelled in India and mingled with people from different regions. The people of Kerala are gifted with a super status in literacy. I don't think it is a great achievement. If all the Indian states have the literacy standard of LKG, Kerala is at UKG. That much is the difference. Kerala is nowhere near the advanced countries of the world There is no society in the world who prevent their own economic development, but Keralites are the one. During the past decades hundreds of industrialists came here with many proposals to start industries here but the people turned them away. A large group of South Korean industrialists came here with large novel proposal of household industries. (Bethlehem, Palestine - Where the silver star is found, is the exact place Jesus Christ was born) The   records suggest that the Christmas was first celebrated on 25 December 336 CE by the Catholic Church in Rome. However there are much to say that Christmas was celebrated even before that. Now it is the USA is the country where Christmas is most widely celebrated in the world. Other most celebrated countries are Finland, Ireland, Norway and Japan. While Japan is a Shinto and Buddhist country they celebrate Xmas with stars, decorated trees, wide variety of food etc. In Finland there are Santa Claus village, Santa park and Santa work shops. Senegal being a Muslim majority country, Xmas is a public holiday and almost entire population celebrate Christmas. The Christmas tree of today was originated in Central Europe and Baltic states during the Renaissance.
