ONE OF THE GREATEST ROBBERIES

              Diamond jewelry

One of the biggest robberies in history took place on the night of February 14-15,.2003 in Antwerp, Belgium. Diamond, gold, silver and other jewelry worth over $100 million was stolen. The stolen materials were stored in a vault two floors below the main floor of the building. The location was protected with all modern safety mechanism like seismic sensor, Doppler radar, a magnetic field, infra-red heat detectors and a multi combination locking system. Above all the  building was heavily guarded by private security force.

The theft was conducted by a five-men team led by a skilled social manipulator who had rented a well furnished office in the diamond district for $700 a month. He visited the diamond house frequently and secretly installed camera in the vault area.  From time to time  he continued the visit and made all possible tampering with the security system and on one day the gang stollen everything.

However, it didn't take much time for the police to pick him. He was caught with the help of a DNA examination of the partially eaten salami sandwich collected from the crime scene. Finally the robbers were sent to 10 years imprisonment. Unfortunately the stolen materials could not be recovered.
