Normal And Abnormal

As  per 2021 statistics there are 22,172 rape cases reported to the police in India. With a population of 1.39 billion it comes 1.8 per lakh. While it appears to be a low figure comparatively, in numbers it is a huge amount considering the fact that in many states of our country even ten percent of cases are not reported to the police. The most shameful aspect of it is that in many such cases politicians are involved. According to media reports the ruling governments were found to be reluctant to take appropriate actions against the offenders sheerly on political considerations. It is a very serious situation. Women constitutes about half of the population of the country. In most of the Indian societies they are looked down as the weaker ones. Yet, they are denied security and justice. Writing this from California, USA. I'm aghast to find the cleanliness of the roads, footpaths and the wayside space here. No garbage packs, no animal waste filled in plastic bags heaped on every wayside as found in India. No dust found on the air around roads as we get  on and around Indian roads. No smoke filled suburbs that block view on all sides as seen in India. There are plenty of trees on either side of the road. The leaves are not heaped over the footpath by the scavengers blocking the movement of footpath users. Many people come to the parks and public grounds bring their pet dogs too alongwith them. If those dogs shit on these public places the owner of the animal instantly remove the waste and dispose it off at the appropriate places. The authorities have kept plastic bags at these public places for this purpose. Is cleanliness an allergy for Indians! (Scripted two years ago) K V George 

Just think about  There are about 10,000 religions and nearly that much of gods are followed by man. Of these over 75% people are following top four religions. The channel should be a free service for all. It should be primarily intended for development of tourism in India. The channel should widely cover all tourism centres in India with all relavant details like accessibility, distances from various cities, particulars like availability, fare, timings etc of flights, trains, buses and taxis. Details of hotels available in and around each tourist spot, types of food available etc should included. The channel may also cover long history, culture and civilization of our country. No one bothers about the way the wealth is accumulated or the power is acquired, but how much you hold that matter. Even if a known thief has large house and costly cars there would be many people to respect him at public. There are primarily two reasons for this situation in our society. People only consider what you have, not how you have earned those. These subjects are not taught to our children because no one bothers to include those in the school syllabus.
