COMMUNIST KILLINGS IN THE WORLD

The bloodiest period of history of the world belongs to the Communists. The highest number of killings made by a single ruler in the history of the world stands in the name of Mao Zedong in China. During the period of 1958-62 Mao killed 45 million people.
Estimated total killing in different countries are given below.

China - 76,702,000 (1949-87)
Soviet Union - 61,911,000 (1917-87)
Kampuchea - 2,035,000 (1975-79)
Vietnam - 1,670,000 (1945-87)
Poland - 1,585,000 (1945-87)
N.Korea - 1,563,000 (1948-87)
Yugoslavia - 1,072,000 (1945-87)
(Such killings may be found in all Communist ruled countries of the world)

The Left Front government ruled for seven consecutive terms in West Bengal from 1977 to 2011 by Communist Chief Ministers  Jyoti Basu (five terms) and Buddhadev Bhattacharya (two terms)
According to a report by the Mainstream Weekly dated August 14, 2010 after analysis Communist killings in the state during the period of 1977-96 the monthly average was 125.7 murders.
This makes an annual killings of 1508.4 and if we work it out for the entire 34 years it becomes 51,286 murders by the Communist during their seven continuous terms.

Despite all these are being part of the Communist history of the world, why the highly literate Malayalis are running after this outdated socioeconomic theory of Communism? The Communists have failed everywhere in the world including Soviet Union, Germany, Poland, Yugoslavia and of late China has shifted into capitalism. What is left in China is Authoritarian ruling with Communist flag. Even in this twenty first century the Chinese people have never tasted freedom! They cannot freely express their opinion within their country. The two countries now left with Communism is Vietnam and Laos. Cuba is on way to a capitalist government. North Korea is an authoritarian country. No party has any freedom there.
