KERALA TODAY

No government in Kerala ever undergone such paucity of fund as of now. It must be the result of financial mismanagement. If we look at the available information from AG, the state finance wing as well as the Central Finance Minister it could be gathered that the State Government has not made adequate effort to collect the dues from the concerned. Simultaneously the state has made no effort to get the alloted fund from the Central Government and to enhance the revenue from new sources. Above all corruption is reported to be rampant in the state of Kerala. Over and above the continuous reports by media about large amount of corruption by people occupying significant position in the state, individuals are coming out with proof of corruption by these persons. All said and done no any corrective measures or punitive action is reported to have been taken so far.

Finally Sri Shiva Shankar an IAS officer and the former Private Secretary of the CM have been taken into custody for interrogation on certain charges leveled against him. There are many government officials and party functionaries are alleged to have committed corruption many times, but nothing gets moved. More than this the party members are coming out by loudly saying the human killings they have made in the state. It is quite amazing to see how a socioeconomic ideology rejected by almost all countries in the world and almost  all states of this country could get rooted here. Kerala is on top of the country in literacy rate but this outdated theory remains green here. Then we are constrained to reach to the conclusion that literacy, knowledge and wisdom are three different things. Let us wait for a bright morning!
