Occupied by Israel in June 1967, the West Bank including the East Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip have come to constitute the Occupied Palestine Territory (OPT). During the period of Jesus the old Palestine was part of the Canaan region, which encompassed the kingdom of Israel and Judea. When we go through the Biblical sites located in Palestine, some of them are in Jerusalem occupied by both Israel and Palestine. Temple Mount, Golgotha, Church of Holy Sepulchre, Via Dolorosa, Church of Nativity, Mount of Temptation, Jacob's well etc are included in both regions.
