PINK LAKE HILLIER IN AUSTRALIA - REALLY AMAZING

The captivating  pink lake is not a trick. It is nothing but a mystery. The scientific community is trying to find an answer. However, the finding is that the Lake Hillier is 10 times saltier than the ocean. It is, therefore, the breeding ground of the salt loving micro-algae Dunaliella Salina. These tiny things produce pigment compounds that absorb light like Beta Carotene which gives the colour to carrots and some cabbage purple. It is the same thing that makes the lake water pink.
