MOST VENOMOUS SNAKE IN THE WORLD


Inland Taipan (Oxyuranus microlepidotus) found generally in Central Australia is considered to be the most venomous snake in the world with a murine LD 50 value of 0.025 mg/kg SC. While the normal range of the snake is 6 to 8 ft, some of those grow up to 9.5 ft. Black Mamba, Dubois sea snake, Yellow chin etc are the other highly venomous snakes.
 Most dangerous snake in India is Common Krait.

A healthy human can die within 45 minutes from the bite of an Inland Taipan. One drop of venom can kill 100 humans or 25,000 rats.
