Economic development of a country and prosperity of the population is solely depends upon the level of education of the people of the country.  After the first five year plan, the 10th five year plan (2002-2007) mainly focused on education. Since then overall pattern of educational development has been on set route. No one has seemed to have reviewed the progress of education in our country. Now we cannot boast about our educational standards. According to the survey report published by bestdiplomats.org the following countries are on top of the world in education standard in 2024. We  all have come to this world as mere visitors from somewhere. We do not know where we have come from and where we have to go back. Most of us do something here. The  title of our country is Unity in Diversity. We are so diverse; so strong too. Most of our languages have originated from the same root.         Waste to Energy plant in Delhi  We  Indians, surprisingly may not have the sense of cleanliness as required by our environment. Whether it is village, town or city heaps of waste can be found anywhere. There is no effective methods for collection of waste from houses and public places. In January last Wen Wen, 38, walked into a hospital casualty room in Xian, central China, with entire knife buried in his head. Only the knife handle was sticking out. One ER nurse fainted as he walked upto the reception. He answered questions about his injury. He had been stabbed by his 76 years old father who was now fled the home. The razor sharp knife sunk into Wen's head above his ear, down into the nasal cavity and finally emerged into his mouth. Astonishingly it missed several major arteries, blood vessels and nerves. "He is incredibly lucky. He could walk and talk perfectly and he will make a full recovery. One or two centimetres in another direction,  though, and he would be dead." Said one medic. When we consider the infrastructure of a country, quality and extend of roads contribute significantly. In order to determine the quality of roads, roads of many countries are examined and Road Quality Index is awarded.   According to modern science the universe is born from a  great explosion of a tiny particle. Everything has come into existence from this tiny particle. Many  individuals and groups might have studied the subject indepth and submitted their findings to the appropriate authorities from time to time. Unfortunately our follow up action and corrective measures are below par. When female constitute half of the population of the country it becomes the predominant responsibility of the government to ensure the safety of the citizens. Whether it is central or state governments, their efficacy is not appreciable, in this matter. When we look for the prime reasons for this state of affairs, two things can be found on top. One is the wide spread corruption in our country. Criminals here have a feeling that if they have money in their hands, they can commit any crime and get scot free. It was introduced by the erstwhile state of Travancore under the British rule in India. This tax was imposed on the women of lower caste, Nadars and Ezhavas between the age of 16 and 35. They were not allowed to cover their breasts and if anyone do otherwise were punished by heavy taxes. There was Channar revolt between 1839 and 1859 that prompted earlier against this tax seeking right for their women to cover their body at will but it went on for long until  it was withdrawn in 1924. As  per available information there are 2,80,000 stray dogs in Kerala with an annual growth rate of 20%. Over and above these there are about 9,00,000 pet dogs in the state. Of late the dog menace has become intolerable. Countless number of people have been bitten by these dogs. Few people have been reported to have died after dog bites. Some have lost lives in accidents caused by these stray dogs. Government is understood to have spent considerable amount of money to save people from this menace. All said and done, something is lacking somewhere. When things are said to be organised and money is said to have spent, but desired result is not found, it can be safely assumed that so far no result oriented efforts have been taken place in this matter. Do we ever think about our real future? It is not about what we eat tomorrow or what we wear day after. It is about our real future. We have only one real future. That is for all of us. ENDOSULFAN was developed as a pesticide in 1954. It was widely used upto the 1990s and it was found then that it was a highly toxic chemical. Aerial spraying of endosulfan in cashew plantations in Kerala began in 1976. After a few years there were reports of calves born with deformed limbs. It was also reported that from Padre village of Kaseragod where this pesticide was widely used, frogs, fishes, jackals, fireflies, bee colonies were vanished. Many local children and people below the age of 25 years were suffering from serious disorders. People who lived along the Kodenkiri river had confronted with serious health problems and they came up with protests against the use of this toxic pesticide. With the help of the media their problems were highlighted across the state. However, all concerned delayed or rather failed to address the issue. Kerala must be the headquarters of public protests in the world. For anything and everything we protest in our own ways by inflicting maximum injuries on ourselves. There are cases of people met with accidents and thereby injured seriously were prevented on the way from going to hospitals by protestors and consequently falling dead. Similarly women with serious labour pain were blocked enroute to hospitals. So many KSRTC buses were severely damaged. Large number of private cars and buses were damaged. Closing of shops is a must do item. Anyone refuse shall be dealt with severely. Pelting stones on shops and creating maximum damages is an inevitable part of the protest. Whatever may be the protest for, schools and colleges shall certainly be kept closed. During these days, protesting against anything by preventing the traffic on roads, closing shops and educational institutions etc are the most outdated way. United Nations has announced on last November 15th, that world population has crossed the 800 crores mark. While China is on top with 145.2 crores, India is just behind with 141.2 cores. (Now India has reached on top) Can we Indians take a relook to this great power? Let us realise this massive power for our economic growth. Why we Indians are remaining poor, though our India is rich? This is because of the uneven distribution of wealth. We can easily overcome this. Let us exploit all available resources by using all available manpower.  If we do this we can reach the top of the world in the shortest possible time. If we want the upliftment of the people and the development of our country we may take a practical approach to our so called problems and go ahead for an easy solution. We do not need a large amount of money for this but only a strong will is needed. The following are the decisions we must take under the existing conditions to take up our beloved India to a higher level. 1. Ensure food for all our people. 2. Ensure water for all. 3. Ensure clean air for all. 4. Ensure house for every family. 5. Ensure medical treatment for every      sick one. 6. Education must be compulsory and      free up to class 12. 7. Deploy all unemployed and                    underemployed. 8. Ensure safety for women. 9. Ensure safety for children. 10. Totally eradicate corruption from           the country. 11. Bring back all corrupt money sent        out of the country....
