EDUCATION IN INDIA

Image
Economic development of a country and prosperity of the population is solely depends upon the level of education of the people of the country.  After the first five year plan, the 10th five year plan (2002-2007) mainly focused on education. Since then overall pattern of educational development has been on set route. No one has seemed to have reviewed the progress of education in our country. Now we cannot boast about our educational standards. According to the survey report published by bestdiplomats.org the following countries are on top of the world in education standard in 2024. (The figure shown in the bracket is the territorial educational standard) South Korea (97.9%) Canada (66.36%) Japan (64%) Luxembourg (63.12%) UK (57.47%) In literacy rate the above countries are around 99%. As per Legatum Prosperity Index, India ranks 99 in 145 countries in the education sector. Projections for 2024 on our literacy rate is suggested 80%. As per the available information the c...

ENGLISH SHOULD BE CONTINUED LIKE AN INDIAN LANGUAGE

Image
The  title of our country is Unity in Diversity. We are so diverse; so strong too. Most of our languages have originated from the same root. If we wanted a single language network we should have thought about years before. If we wanted to retain Hindi and erase all other languages including the Dravidian languages of South India, we could have done it. Now the predetermined attempt to eradicate English from India can be welcomed if we are convincingly told the reason for it. No Indians have any inborn attachment for English language. More than the fact that the English compelled us to learn this language, we have opted it for our survival. According to a report of the Ministry of External Affairs, there are 32 million NRIs and OCIs residing outside India. Every year 25 lakhs Indians migrate  overseas, which is the highest annual number of migrants in the world. These migrants consist of people of high academic qualifications, specialised engineering graduates and m...

CLEANLINESS IN OUR COUNTRY ALONG WITH POWER GENERATION

Image
Waste to Energy plant in Delhi  We  Indians, surprisingly may not have the sense of cleanliness as required by our environment. Whether it is village, town or city heaps of waste can be found anywhere. There is no effective methods for collection of waste from houses and public places. When there are countless number of boards found at different places saying: 'Don't throw waste here', it is difficult to find any board anywhere saying 'Put waste here'. If places are allocated and proper boards are put people may reach there and dump their waste there. According to available source the amount of municipal solid waste (waste that comes from homes, businesses and other community activities) in India was above 1,70,300 tons per day in the financial year 2022. Over 50% of these waste is combustible. This shows that over 85,000 tons of combustible waste are available with us every day. The following countries in the world are generating electr...

WE INDIANS MUST TARGET A THREE ZERO ACHIEVEMENT

Image
We  are on the top layer of the world in GDP, Agricultural products (top in milk,  and pulses), Industry etc. Above all we are the largest manpower in the world. Despite all these, may be due to miscalculations by successive governments, all that we made for the country could not be equally distributed among the people. While comparing with many countries in the world, per capita Income of our people are much low. There is no meaning for finding reasons for this. We have to plug the holes immediately. During the run of seven and a half decades we could cross many hurdles and set many milestones and reach the level of most advanced economies of the world. But for one reason or the other we could not raise the per capita income of the people of India to the level of the advanced countries of the world. In other words the great achievements made by the country could not reach the people evenly. We may attain this at the earliest. Here we propose a Three Zero Project t...

HUMAN BECOME STRONGER AFTER DEATH!

Image
We  all have a tendency to play with comparatively low placed people and terrorise them. Sometimes some of us may even give slap to them and shout at abusive language. Since they are afraid of the social status of the opponents and also realise their weakness they never respond but silently move away from there.  Now let us change the time and space of the order of the incidence. The weak man dies and the one with power and social status survives. During a night the dead one appears to the well placed  strong one in his house! No sound may come from him and he will tremble and wet his clothes. That is the Power comes after death. This power variation is scientifically ratified in different sector. In the cases of stars, depending upon their mass they have an average lifespan of 50 million years to 20 billion years. After millions of years the core of the star runs out of its fuel, hydrogen and slowly collapse inwards. Depending on the sizes of the original sta...

THOUGHT OF THE DAY

ENDOSULFAN TRAGEDY, ÇOMPENSATION AND FAILURE OF GOVERNMENTS

Image
ENDOSULFAN was developed as a pesticide in 1954. It was widely used upto the 1990s and it was found then that it was a highly toxic chemical. Aerial spraying of endosulfan in cashew plantations in Kerala began in 1976. After a few years there were reports of calves born with deformed limbs. It was also reported that from Padre village of Kaseragod where this pesticide was widely used, frogs, fishes, jackals, fireflies, bee colonies were vanished. Many local children and people below the age of 25 years were suffering from serious disorders. People who lived along the Kodenkiri river had confronted with serious health problems and they came up with protests against the use of this toxic pesticide. With the help of the media their problems were highlighted across the state. However, all concerned delayed or rather failed to address the issue. Later in mango farms of Muthalamada Panchayat in Palakkad district this same pesticide was used. There were reports from here too that ...

PUBLIC PROTEST MUST BE IN A DISCIPLINED MANNER.

Image
Kerala must be the headquarters of public protests in the world. For anything and everything we protest in our own ways by inflicting maximum injuries on ourselves. There are cases of people met with accidents and thereby injured seriously were prevented on the way from going to hospitals by protestors and consequently falling dead. Similarly women with serious labour pain were blocked enroute to hospitals. So many KSRTC buses were severely damaged. Large number of private cars and buses were damaged. Closing of shops is a must do item. Anyone refuse shall be dealt with severely. Pelting stones on shops and creating maximum damages is an inevitable part of the protest. Whatever may be the protest for, schools and colleges shall certainly be kept closed. During these days, protesting against anything by preventing the traffic on roads, closing shops and educational institutions etc are the most outdated way. Now, think about the outcome of these protests. Many have been doin...

LET US MAKE USE OF THE POPULATION

Image
United Nations has announced on last November 15th, that world population has crossed the 800 crores mark. While China is on top with 145.2 crores, India is just behind with 141.2 cores. (Now India has reached on top) Can we Indians take a relook to this great power? Let us realise this massive power for our economic growth. Why we Indians are remaining poor, though our India is rich? This is because of the uneven distribution of wealth. We can easily overcome this. Let us exploit all available resources by using all available manpower.  If we do this we can reach the top of the world in the shortest possible time. As said time and again, let us do all political activities during election only and afterwards both people and government should concentrate on the development of the people and the country as a whole. If strict vigil is maintained to eradicate corruption, safety is ensured for women nd children and education is ensured to the graduation level to the coming g...

DO THE CHINESE PEOPLE HAVE FREEDOM IN CHINA?

Image
(Chinese government building) The simple answer to this question is a straight 'no'. While article 36 of the PRC constitution provides freedom of religion to citizens, what is the actual provisions can be seen from the following. In fact China is a country that restrict freedom to its people. The Chinese citizens living in China have learned to live under the restricted freedom in almost every aspect of day to day life. Sometimes back a female correspondent of a local daily reported a suspected case of corruption by a government official. She was subsequently reported to have arrested. Since then no one has seen or heard about her. And that is China. Freedom of religion of ethenic minorities are well scribed in the constitution but the Uyghur population living in Xinjiang region are under strict controls of practising Islam as shown below. * Official religious practices must be held in government approved mosques. * Uyghurs under 18 years old are not all...
