EDUCATION IN INDIA

Economic development of a country and prosperity of the population is solely depends upon the level of education of the people of the country.  After the first five year plan, the 10th five year plan (2002-2007) mainly focused on education. Since then overall pattern of educational development has been on set route. No one has seemed to have reviewed the progress of education in our country. Now we cannot boast about our educational standards.

According to the survey report published by bestdiplomats.org the following countries are on top of the world in education standard in 2024. (The figure shown in the bracket is the territorial educational standard)
South Korea (97.9%)
Canada (66.36%)
Japan (64%)
Luxembourg (63.12%)
UK (57.47%)

In literacy rate the above countries are around 99%. As per Legatum Prosperity Index, India ranks 99 in 145 countries in the education sector. Projections for 2024 on our literacy rate is suggested 80%. As per the available information the current educational output is:
Under graduates - 86.11%
Post Graduates - 12.07%
Diploma - 1.01%
Research - 0.81%

If we conduct a survey we can find that if the countries stand is high in education it also stand high GDP PCI PPP. The corruption in our country is rampant and of a very high level in the world and the prime reason for this is that there is no resistance from the
1.5 billion people. If our country should have a widespread development alongwith the people we should very much focus on education. We can set a target for educational upliftment and parallelly set another target for cent per cent employment, zero percent of population below poverty line, houses for all, best roads, water, power and health care. Alongwith all these there must be a strict oath too to be taken for a total eradication of corruption from our country. And that is all should come from education.
