DO WE NEED TRADE UNIONS ANY MORE?

Finally the communist government have forced to impose curbs on the Trade Unions in the state to mitigate the unbearable actions taken by them. Trade Unions have come into being when employees were put on hardships by the employers. The time have been changed since then. Now it is our own government and our own laws. All safety, security and welfare measures are ensured for the employee of all types. No third party is now required to safeguard justice for employees. Appropriate forums are established for employees to register their complaints either singularly or jointly. Therefore, as far as employees are concerned, they do not need any assistance from Trade Unions today. Trade Unions are now functioning as power centres of political parties.

If the government is willing to stand with the people, then they can ban all Trade Unions activities in the state/country. Trade Unions today make negative contributions to the economy of the state. Infact today the state government is finding it hard to meet the day to day needs. Even fund for salary of a good number of state government employees may become tough to raise in time in the coming days. Under this circumstances the prime task of the government is the economic development of the state. Considering the history of the state no entrepreneur may dare to enter into this state to do any sort of industrial activities here. Such is the contribution of the Trade Unions for today's pathetic economic status of the state. Trade Unions have already proved their worth in driving away large number of entrepreneurs from the state. KSRTC must be best example for the total negative approach of the TUs.

Now, if the state government is really interested for the economic development of the state the first thing they should do is to call it a day for Trade Union activities in the state. By doing so no one is losing job, nothing happens to anyone in the state or the state as a whole. On the other hand if the government can promulgate the eradication of Trade Unions from the state, large number of investors may come to the state within a short period of time. State can soon get out from the present financial shambles. Now it is the government to choose the priority; whether they want their political flags fly high in every office or their 3.5 crores people live happily here.
