SHOULD THE WORLD UNITE TO PREVENT KILLING OF INNOCENTS AROUND THE WORLD

According to available data there are over 1,70,000 terrorist attacks of various intensities throughout the world during the period from 1970 to 2019 killing over 1,40,000 people. Most of the countries in the world have fallen victim to these heinous attacks. In many incidents the victims were innocent people. They were either tourists, air travellers, school children, common pedestrian etc who had nothing to do with the so called issues of the terrorists. The deadliest terrorist groups in the world are Islamic State, the Taliban, Al-Shabaab and Boko Haram. While this is the synopsis of terrorism, the world must consider it as only terrorism, not as any religious issue.

Whatever may be the reason these groups are fighting for and killing innocent people, there are bona fide platforms within the concerned countries or centralised establishments to take up their issues within the purview of the law of respective countries. Without going for peaceful solutions, they are merely looking for destructive means to sort out their issues should not be approved by the world. Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Somalia, Nigeria, Republic of Congo, Yemen, Philippines, Pakistan and India are countries under constant attack by terrorist groups. Within these countries some governments are sponsoring terrorism.

Being the most powerful country among these India may take this issue to the world forums to find an end to terrorism. We may take the help of US, UK, Russia, Germany, France, Australia, Canada, Israel, Japan, Saudi Arabia and China to counter terrorism. We must have the option to use adequate force with arms to end terrorism from the world. To start with we must discuss with each group and try to arrive at a permanent solution after knowing fully well what each one has to say. Nothing should be imposed on anyone. Let all the countries remain united to eradicate terrorism from the world in a peaceful manner.
