 The most read book ever in the world is the Bible. We are now finding here the other human creations.

Don Quixote,  the Spanish novel by Miguel de Cervantes with 500 million copies worldwide is the best selling book of all time.

Xinhua Zidian with 400 million copies is currently the world's best selling Chinese dictionary and the world's most popular reference book.

A Tale of Two Cities, the historical novel of Charles Dickens written in 1859 with 200 million copies stands as one of the most read books of the world.

The Lord of the Rings authored by J R R Tolkien is a high intensity fantasy novel having sold over 150 million copies is among the top books of the world.

The Little Prince published in English and French in the United States in 1943 have a sales record of 142 million copies. It is written by Antoine de Saint Exupery.

Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone by J K Rowling has sold in excess of 120 million copies. This is one of the best selling books of all time. The book went on to win many British and American book awards. It is translated into 73 languages.

And Then There Were None is a mystery novel by English writer Agatha Christie. With sale of 100 million copies stands seventh best selling books of all time.

Dream of the Red Chamber  having sold 100 million copies this 18th century  Quing dynasty book stands eighth on the world's best selling books.

The Hobbit by J R R Tolkien with 100 million copies sold was published in 1937 is one of the best selling books in the world.

The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe by C S Lewis, the children's novelist, was published in 1950. 85 million copies have been sold so far.

She: A History of Adventure written by English novelist H Rider Haggard was published in 1887 and has sales record of 83 million copies.

Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown was released in 2003. The book became a worldwide best seller has sold 80 million copies has been translated into 44 languages.

The Alchemist  by Paulo Coelho is another best seller published in 1988 and sold over 65 million copies.

Harry Potter by J K Rowling is the best selling book series in the world with over 500 million copies sold worldwide. The sales between 2019 and 2020 was 2.6 billion books. J K Rowling is the second highest paid author in the world behind James Patterson. She is worth $92 million.
