DOES CONFESSION GRANT FORGIVENESS?

Nowhere in the four gospels one can find Jesus asking the people to confess before Him. His disciples too had not practiced confessions for forgiveness of sins. From the very early days man has been doing sacrifices of birds and animals for forgiveness of sin. Moses had placed Ten Commandments before the people to keep themselves clean. When none of these could yield the desired results God punished man by the deluge of Noah and the fire at Sodom Gomorrah.

Despite all these man continued with his wrong doings. The supreme justice of the Almighty One took the responsibility of the sinful actions of man on Himself and He repented. And that repentance resulted into the Supreme Sacrifice of Lord Jesus Christ on the cross at Calvary and the entire humanity has been redeemed from the clutches of sin. Sacrifice of God Himself was the final means of forgiveness of sins. Anyone who believes this sacrifice for himself shall be redeemed from all his sins. This is what Jesus taught.

However,  Christianity seems to be do not recognise this forgiveness, and placed a human to carry the sins of man to God. No man can carry the sins of many on his body and remain in good shape. But we find nothing happens to any of these carriers. Since sickness is the after effects of sin confession and the forgiveness thereby must give relief from every sickness. It does not happen. That means sin is not forgiven. The only way of forgiveness of sin is one should carry the other's sin on himself. Anyone can practice this but such one cannot survive for long. However, if one has ardent faith in the sacrifice of Jesus for himself, he can have relief.
