CHINESE GAME IN ARUNACHAL PRADESH

Arunachal Pradesh meaning 'the Land of Rising Sun' is for long recognised as the territory of India. During the British regime this area was known as North East Frontier Agency until it was part of Assam and then it has become Union Territory of India in 1972. It became an Indian state in 1987. This region was recognised as the Indian subcontinent receiving mention in the ancient Hindu literature like the Kalika - Purana and the epic poems like the Mahabharata and Ramayana. This Indian state has an area of 83,743 sq.km and a population of (2011) 1,382,611. Arunachal Pradesh is a home for many distinct ethenic group. Most of these groups are either related with the people of Tibet or West Myanmar. Two third of the population compromise of Scheduled Tribes.

China claims Arunachal Pradesh primarily because of its historical and ancient relation with Tibet. Tawang an adjoining district of Arunachal Pradesh has always held a unique place in the culture of Tibet. It is because Tsangyang Gyatso the sixth Dalai Lama was born in Urgyeling close to Tawang. China claims about 90,000 sq km area of Arunachal Pradesh. This land they call Zangnan which means South Tibet. This capture was made by China in 1962 conflict.

In another equation, Tibet is claimed by India as part of Leh district under Ladakh Union Territory. Similarly Aqsayqin portion of the Kashmir region, at the northernmost extent of the Indian subcontinent at the south central Asia held by China as Aksai Chin is claimed by India.

In 2022 Government of India has approved a National Frontier Highway of 2574 km long costs Rs 44,000 crores for Arunachal Pradesh. We  have also made 600 MW hydro electric project there making the state a power surplus one.

China shares border with 14 countries namely Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Bhutan, Nepal, Myanmar,  Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, North Korea , Vietnam, Laos and Mongolia. Further more it shares maritime borders with Brunei, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Philippines and Taiwan.

China has border dispute with the following countries.
Philippines. Filipino Marines movement over the shoal in South China sea is disputed by China for quite some time. Vietnam. Maritime territorial disputes over the Spartly Islands and the Parcel Islands in the South China sea is for long. Diplomatic resolution efforts have become elusive.
Japan. China and Japan have clashes over uninhabited Islands called Senkaku Island in Tokyo, Diaoya Island in Beijing and Tiaoyutai Island in Taiwan. China began raising the issue of sovereignty over these Islands in the 1970s when evidence of oil reserves were found there.
Nepal. China has been accused for encroaching Nepal's territory where both share border. China also reported to have trespassed to their districts located in the western region. Bhutan. China shares with Bhutan a contiguous border of 292 miles. The territorial disputes are shaping into a potential conflict. Since 1980 the two governments have engaged in talks but to no avail. India. China has land border issue with India. This has already led to bloody war in 1962. After the war a line of control was made. But, of late, China has trespassed into Indian territory and started giving Chinese names to Indian places in Arunachal Pradesh. Indonesia. This is also pertaining to South China Sea. When Indonesia started an oil and natural gas project in their region, China interfered and called it an infringement in their waters. Laos. From the tripoint with Myanmar to the tripoint with Vietnam Laos have a 313 miles border with China. China claims most of the land of Laos as Chinese  on a historical precedent dating back to Yuan Dynasty.
Myanmar. Myanmar's northern Shan district is allegedly destroyed a fence constructed by Chinese authorities. China warns that if this is not made good and set right the relation between the two countries shall become worse. Tibet. China has total claim over this Himalayan state. They have forced their spiritual leader Dalai Lama to run away from there and took assylum in India and trying to run his government in exile from here. Singapore. This is again connected with South China Sea. When tries to station their aircrafts, anti-aircraft and antimissile systems in their Spartly Islands, China objects these.
Brunei. It is a silent Muslim nation with low profile establishment. When they bring external investment to their country China started interfering with commands.
Mongolia. China attacked the Mongolians in 2015 over a border dispute of a place owned by the inner Mongolians and the people of Gansu province on the other side. Altogether China has border dispute with 13 countries. According to Chinese viewpoint all others are wrong and China alone is right. And the above list is exclusive of Taiwan. And also Hong Kong, where 80% of the population  want it to be a separate country. There is reported to be a large population of Muslims in the north west region of China. Since they do not have any freedom to speak, communicate and travel they too want a seperate independent region for them.

India must immediately find an end to the border dispute with China. Every Indian will stand behind the government to safeguard our Mother Land. We all are prepared to shed upto our last drop of blood for our country. We must drive away China from our soil. Let us use our force. If China comes out for a war against us they will certainly be a loser. It may take many decades for them to rebuild to today's shape. Further to this, China may most likely to play a wrong game with Russia. Let's wait for that moment.
