HUMAN SACRIFICE IN KERALA

Two women were murdered in Kerala and the flesh were cooked and eaten by the killers and their associates. This killing was in the name of human sacrifice (Narabali) and by now this news has been spread across the whole country and most part of the world. Most surprising is that this heinous crime has taken place in a state that claims to be the highest literate in the country. Alas! What made these to happen here! Infact, it is nothing but misconstrued religious beliefs, disarrayed educational system and atrocities caused by outdated political philosophies prevailing in our country are those persuading such crimes in this so called literate state.

If we want to do any corrections, we must start from the grass roots level aiming at the coming generations. We must also ensure stringent punishments for the culprits. It is also necessary that people should be encouraged to report any such suspicious things around them. Over and above these, we must think whether we should continue to let loose any religious faith that promotes human killings. We must take immediate steps to include in the school syllabus all those cause negative impact on the society which we could not correct so far. Since politicians are the prime teachers of the society, the continues killings take place on political reasons, is also become a cause for killings in other grounds too. We may do corrections as far as possible.
