ALL ROUND CORRUPTION

Image
Cho Ramaswamy  said once that corruption is an accepted philosophy of the Indian society. It must be a truth. We Indians, it seems, are not at all bothered about the all round corruption in our country. Many of our parliamentarians or legislative members are charged with criminal offences by police and cases are pending in various courts of the country. And they are the people formulating the law for us. Neither the government, nor the political parties are doing anything effectively to prevent corruption. Many of our politicians have publicly expressed that huge black money belonging to Indians are deposited in foreign banks. No one, it seems, is interested to repatriate this money back to India. Surprisingly, if brought, this money would be enough to eradicate poverty of millions of Indians. Unfortunately, no one is bothered about the poverty of Indians. The huge price rises, substandard quality and widespread adulteration are the after effects of corruption. It is the pe

DOES CONFESSION GRANT FORGIVENESS?

Image
Nowhere  in the four gospels one can find Jesus asking the people to confess before Him. His disciples too had not practiced confessions for forgiveness of sins. From the very early days man has been doing sacrifices of birds and animals for forgiveness of sin. Moses had placed Ten Commandments before the people to keep themselves clean. When none of these could yield the desired results God punished man by the deluge of Noah and the fire at Sodom Gomorrah. Despite all these man continued with his wrong doings. The supreme justice of the Almighty One took the responsibility of the sinful actions of man on Himself and He repented. And that repentance resulted into the Supreme Sacrifice of Lord Jesus Christ on the cross at Calvary and the entire humanity has been redeemed from the clutches of sin. Sacrifice of God Himself was the final means of forgiveness of sins. Anyone who believes this sacrifice for himself shall be redeemed from all his sins. This is what Jesus taught. H

EINSTEIN'S BRAIN WAS STOLEN

Image
(Dr Thomas Harvey with Albert         Einstein's brain in a glass jar) It is no joke!   Something that really happened. Albert Einstein died on 18 April 1955 at the age of 76 (1879-1955). The German born theoretical physicist died due to abdominal aortic aneurysm burst, creating internal bleeding and severe pain. He died in the Princeton Hospital, New Jersey. The body was cremated as per his will and the ashes scattered on the ground of the Institute of Advanced Studies, Princeton. During the autopsy of the body of Einstein, Princeton pathologist Dr Thomas Harvey removed his  famous brain. After getting the reluctant approval from Einstein's son, Dr Harvey cut the brain into pieces and sent to various scientists for research. The most famous outcome of the research came from the Canadian University, claiming that Einstein possessed unusual folds on his parietal lobe, a part of the brain associated with mathematical and spatial ability. Einstein's brain was redi

WHO IS TO WIN THE NEXT T20 INTERNATIONAL?

Image
If history repeats, the prediction is easy - Bengladesh. This is an old story. In 2009,10,12 and 14 the former hosts were the winners. Since Bangladesh was the host in 2014 they were to be the winner of 2016 T20 world cup. Many media also went ahead with the prediction. Cricket gamblers came up with huge bet. Alas, Nature didn't allow man to win the prediction! Nature is doing many things in a mathematical order. If we take a closer look at many happenings we can find this strange phenomenon. However, if we highlight this with professionalism, it will certainly go haywire. That can be found from the following cricket match results. 2009 - Host England             Winner Pakistan 2010 - Host West Indies             Winner England 2012 - Host Sri Lanka             Winner West Indies 2014 - Host Bengladesh             Winner Sri Lanka It all went astray in 2016. 2016 - Host India             Winner West Indies K V George kvgeorgein@gmail.com

WHAT IS THE MEANING OF PRAYER TO GOD

Image
We all  believe that God is the creator of everything in the universe. He is the Supreme Wisdom. He is the Supreme Power. He is the Store of Knowledge. All that He do is right. He never do anything wrong. He is the God in our minds. Our prayers to God are of two kinds. One prayer is asking for and another is prayer of giving to. In the former we ask God to do something for us. In the latter we give Him thanks for what He has done for us. The simple interpretation of our prayers of asking to God is like:  Oh God, don't do what you want to do, but do what I say. Yes, it is our prayers seeking His blessings! WHY INDIAN RUPEE IS FALLING CONSTANTLY?

Image
Exchange rate  is the value of  currency of one country verse the value of currency of other country. Exchange rates are believed to be a free floating system according to the demand and supply of the market. This theory cannot be considered as a standard one pertaining to all countries. While the value of currency of some countries remain stable irrespective of any economic downturn, in some other countries the value falls nose down contrary to the fair economic growth. Under no circumstances the currency of some country crash the way it does in another country. Even when nothing adverse effects some currency keep crashing. As such it can be safely concluded that mere fluctuations in the market is not the sole factor that determine the exchange rate. However, it can be attributed to certain extent to the demand and supply theory of currencies concerned. If at all it happens it can on only be a temporary phenomenon. Further to this, the change in the value should only affec

BOGUS VOTES

Image
Whether  it is election to the parliament, assembly or the local bodies, bogus votes are  continual affairs. Digital technology is so advanced and umpteen methods can be found to institute election a fool proof process. Having found the forgery in voting many experts have suggested various means to eradicate bogus voting permanently. Unfortunately either the government or any constitutional bodies are not coming forward to rectify this key defects of democracy. Not even one out of the 1.38 billion people of the country voluntarily coming ahead to take up the matter to the judiciary. Bogus voting is nothing but a democratic goondaism and likely to continue for long the way it is being shaped up. K V George kvgeorgein@gmail.com

CHRIST IN RIGVEDA

Image
Part - II     (Continued from the post dated 04.04.21) Further, in the Mundakopanishad, we see, "Plava hyere adrudhayagnarapah" - The timbers bark of sacrifices are unsound. In Skanda Puranam Yagna Vaibhava Khandan, 7th chapter, we read: "Plava eyete sura yagna adrudhasheha na samshayah" - Ye god's, sacrifices are like the timbers of a bark; there is no doubt that they are unsound. Tandya Maha Brahmanam says, Sru: "Yagnota avati tasyachhaya kriyate" - It is a sacrifice that saves. What is being performed, is the shadow of sacrifice. In Rig Veda, we read, Sru: "Armada baladah tasya chhaya-mrutam yasya mruatyuh" -  He whose shadow and death becom nectar shall,  by his shadow and death, confer the spirit and strength. The above sayings clearly reveal that the sacrifices performed do not themselves confer salvation but they are the type and the shadow of a great salvation-giving sacrifice. Aitareya Brahmanam says S

CHRIST IN RIGVEDA

Image
Part - I We understand  Jesus Christ from the Bible as God took birth in this world as man, suffered and died on the cross, for the salvation of humanity from the clutches of sin. A known Indian saint who had great knowledge in ancient Hindu Scriptures tried to establish the presence of Jesus Christ in Rigveda. The late saint Adhyaksha Anubhavananda Kesava Raya Sarma Mandapaka wrote his findings as abridged below. Rigveda, the oldest of the Hindu scared scriptures was composed in the ancient form of Sanscrit language in 1500 BCE. The following are the abstract.of the writings of the Saint. All mankind have sinned, having transgressed the law of God. People all over devised means to escape the wrath of God. This resulted, in India, the Brahmins perform sacrifices and the non- Brahmins offer animal's as sacrifice. An examination of the Vedas reveals that sacrifice is told as the only means of salvation.
