Kerala  has become a killers own country. Some people move around with weapons and kill some other people either on the road or in the house. Even one's own house is not safe to live. These are political killings, not out of any personal or family feud. Such killings are out of ideological differences. During the past few decades countless number of people were killed across the state, probably sponsored by different political parties. How many of those were thoroughly enquired, how many cases were registered against the actual killers and how many were punished are all known to the people of the state. The reason for the killings and the parties responsible for such wicked moves are also known to the people. Whichever party rule at the centre or in the state, those governments do not take any effective steps to make an end to these political killings. News  report with photograph published in the Malayala Manorama dated today is shown above.  A few days ago another report with photograph appeared in the same newspaper about a huge number of low floor buses  parked in Kochi yard of the Corporation. More such buses could be found at different depots of KSRTC. Altogether there must be hundreds of buses which can be put into service straight away or with minor repairs. Instead of using the available buses, the management seems to be keen to buy new buses. It appears that the concerned ministry is also giving blanket approval for such actions. The all important question arises here is, whether the peoples' money is so cheap for such spending. The Coronation which was the best in the country in every aspect decades ago is in continuous loss for many years. When  anyone has enmity with another one, fix up a quotation team, pay money and eliminate the concerned one from this world. Murder this way is called quotation killing. Whether it is a man or woman, old or young, boy or girl the team is ready to kill. Depending upon the status of the victim the quotation amount varies. Many people are killed every year in our state under this system. It is not known whether NCRB keeps a seperate account of quotation killings. 292, 323 and 306 people were murdered in Kerala in 2018, 2019 and 2020 respectively according to NCRB. Howmany quotation teams were involved in these killings are not known. From the available information it can be safely concluded that every police station has the required resources to ascertain the number of quotation criminals  in their purview.
