REVAMP EDUCATIONAL SYLLABUS IN SCHOOLS

If we look for a brighter tomorrow we must focus the minds of our coming generation to that brightness. They must be allowed to learn the problems confronted by their parents and grandparents parents. Once they are told about the problems, they will come up with their own solutions. Alternatively we too must suggest them about our own tried and failed solutions too. We must first pick up the serious issues faced by the Indian society. Undoubtedly the top in the list will be corruption all around. The next one must be political excessiveness in every walk of human life. Then comes the all important matter; safety of women. The last in the list for the time being is narcotics. If these four subjects are included in our school syllabus from class four to class twelve with appropriate gravity in each classes, we shall certainly find the results in the coming years. If we can get over these grave problems of our society, India will be one of the most ideal countries in the world to live in

WHAT IS DEVIL IN CHRISTIAN FAITH

Devil is well anchored in Christianity. Every Christian who knows God knows devil too. No one claim to have seen either God or devil, but many say that they could feel the presence of each one of them sometimes during their life. Devil is considered as a fallen angel who rebelled against the Most Holy One. Subsequently this angel is believed to have expelled from heaven and sent to this world. The devil or Satan represents all evil on earth. According to the holy scriptures the devil makes its first appearance in the Eden Gardens. In the New Testament, under different contexts, the name 'devil' appears 32 times. Christianity teaches that everything in the universe is created by God, while the Almighty Himself was there at the beginning of time. John 1:3 says, "It was through him that all things came into being, and without him came nothing that has come to be." When God have created everything, devil too is the creation of God Himself. God have created everything w

POLITICS IN EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS

The High Court of Kerala in an interim verdict, ordered to end campus politics in all educational institutions in Kerala. The court ruled that the students are coming to educational institutions for studying and not for indulging in political activities there. The management should have authority to throw out students who spoil the peaceful atmosphere in the educational institutions, the court observed. While a great majority of the people including the students and their parents shall support to the observation of the honorable court, a lean minority from various political parties strongly refute this. Schools and colleges are the highly fertile land for the politicians to bring up the future followers for them. In order to strengthen their demands to keep the educational institutions open for all sorts of strife they put up certain irrelevant arguments. The most important of these is, they say, that schools and colleges are the places where parliamentary democracy is to be taught a

GOOD EARNINGS FOR RETIRED PEOPLE

Retired people need not sit idle at home. They can work as much time as they can. No office. No boss. No staff. No fixed working time. No leave. No holidays. And above all, no investment. If you have fairly good health, it is fine. You can work from anywhere in the world. All you need is a mobile phone with net connection. Your capital outlay will be your knowledge. If you have knowledge and experience in some particular field, just focus on it. How to organise. Pick up around five retired people from your circle. If you are looking for five people, see that they are from five different backgrounds like engineering, finance, banking, trading, manufacturing sector etc. Once the team mates are identified, have a conference over phone and introduce in between you. If all are from close by region you can also have meeting at the nearest park, restaurant or any other suitable place. If you want to exchange proof of identify between yourselves, you can have it. Decide then what type of an

CAN WE ELIMINATE PLASTIC ?

On the one hand plastic is one of the most useful manufactured material in the world. On the other hand it is one of the most harmful material on earth. People world over use plastic for a wide variety of applications. People prefer plastic material for its lower cost, multi utility, water resistance and convenience. Plastic has an enormous growth in a short span of time. Plastic production in 1950 was 1.5 million tonnes. It rose to 200 in 2002 and 322 million tonnes in 2015. Global consumption of plastic is 45 kg/person. Highest is in NAFTA region with 139 kg/person and the lowest is in Middle East and Africa with 16 kg/person. An unimaginable quantity of 9 billion tonnes of plastic have been produced after 1950. 30% of total production is still in use. Only about 9% are recycled. About 7 million tonnes of plastic are available in the whole world now as waste in different forms. According to researchers an estimated quantity of 8 million tonnes end up in ocean every year. 60% of to

FOOD SUPPLEMENTS

There are a good number of food supplements in India doing excellent business. Their main reach to the prospective customers are through print and visual media. They give tall promises using influential models. While some promise 300% build up in stamina, some others' promise is intelligence growth. They also claim that children who use this daily shall become taller. In ordinary situations no consumer can ensure whether the promises made by the manufacturers are true. Presumably there is no scientific evidence to verify. Under this circumstances it is the inevitable duty of both state and central governments to ensure that the promises given by the concerned manufacturers stand good and the consumers are not cheated. Huge revenue from advertisements by these manufacturers, obviously, keep media silent in this matter. If the concerned government officials too become inactive, it is no one else but the consumers themselves, should take up the matter at appropriate level, including

CREATED ROAD ACCIDENTS

Over 4,000 people lost their lives and around 50,000 people injured seriously on Kerala roads in 2016. These figures are rapidly accelerating year after year. No effective steps have been taken by the government to check this alarming rate of road accidents. In the Tsunami of 2004 the death toll in the state of Kerala was below 200. All available government machineries were activated well in time to deal with the situation. That was, of course, a natural calamity, but death is death, that too when it is unnatural death. There are many reasons for road accidents like poor road conditions, over speed of vehicles, driving under intoxication, negligent driving etc. These are general causes for accidents. However, there are created causes too that take human lives on roads. Most important among these is the created traffic block. Political organisations, trade unions, temples, churches, mosques and all other social organisations bring their people to the road to display their strength. I
