INDIA NEED UNITY AMONG PEOPLE

Image
We  have enough natural resources, more than enough manpower and we have fairly good infrastructure too. Surprisingly we are unable to interact these properly for the benifit of about 1.5 billion people.  India is the fifth largest economy in the world and likely to move up a step or two shortly. However, as per Global Hunger Index (GHI) 2022, India ranked 107 out of 121 countries listed. Why the people are poor when the nation is rich? The answer must be simple; the resources, the infrastructure and the people are not co-ordinated properly. Many of our political parties do not put their best efforts to unite the people across the country. On the other hand they try their level best to disintegrate the people in the name of region, language, religion and political affiliation. We have already seen the adverse effects of this in different parts of the country in different times.  Those who add fuel in the fire do not seem to have known the consequences. In fact they are tryi

SYRO MALABAR CHURCH IS HEADING TO A SPLIT

Image
St Thomas Major Archiepiscopal Church in Palayur. This is one of the seven Churches founded by the Apostle St Thomas in  AD 52. (Image courtesy, Wikipedia) The matter which was confined within the Church for sometime has been now taken over by the police and the press. I, therefore, dare to talk the matter in public. This is meant to have the attention of the entire hierarchy of the Church. I would like to believe that as  true disciples of Jesus Christ they may honestly find ways and means to get over the present dilemma. While getting into the issue, we may find that the present controversy has surfaced consequent upon the decision for a uniform celebration of the Holy Mass. According to this the priest celebrating the Holy Mass will face the faithful at the beginning and end of the Mass and the rest of the time he may face the Altar. In the light of the Holy Bible it can be neither said good nor bad. But the matter that worsen the situation is the urgency shown in execut

NOW LET US STAY IN MOON

Image
House in the Moon      Courtesy, Sara Medina Lind And finally our vehicle is landed in moon. The will of every Indian is executed by ISRO. This may pave the way for a good number of noble endeavours. Here is a wild dream! Can some people go and settle in the moon? Yes, we can, but before that we have to create an atmosphere there with sufficient oxygen. At present the moon has a thin atmosphere called exosphere with helium, argon, sodium and potassium. We have to generate large quantity of water. Then must invent some fast growing agricultural products. Plant as many fruit trees as possible. Parallely we may have to go for solar power plants in large numbers.  We should have large stock of emergency medicine. There can be blood pressure issue. When we continue there, after a few generations we will become much taller; may be three, four times or more. Then our heart may find tough to pump blood to the head. It is more than 14 earth days make one lunar day and th

CAN INDIA MAKE A QUANTUM LEAP IN ECONOMIC FRONT?

Image
If a poor to become rich, plenty of hard work, adequate knowledge and excellent tactics are required. Whereas a rich to become richer nothing but timely decision only needed. India is a rich country. In order to make us richer, what we need are timely decisions and quick follow ups. I wish to submit a three point formula for us to make a quantum leap in the economic front. While two of these will give instant returns, the third one will strengthen the base. The first of the three is, eliminate corruption completely from this country. This will be a stern measure towards the growth of the economy. It will ensure that every investment shall reach at the right end and every disbursement shall reach the appropriate hands. Huge, rather unmeasurable sum of money is pumped out of our country every year. May be a larger sum might be hidden within our country with no reproductive scope. If these dead money is brought into legitimate circulation every Indian and the country as a whol

UNEQUAL WEALTH HOLDING IN INDIA

Image
Where  India is placed in the world with it's economic status is not the place provided for the Indians. India is placed 5th in the world in GDP ranking in 2023 behind America, China, Japan and Germany. India (rather Indian population) rank 139 in GDP per capita nominal- 2023 and 127 in GDP per capita PPP 2023. These clearly indicate that the people and the country are placed at quite  distant spots. According to Forbes (India) the PCI of the top five GDP countries are given below.  GDP per capita in USD thousand is: USA - 80.03, China - 13.72, Japan - 35.39, Germany - 51.38 India - 2.6 It can be seen from the above list that India is placed far below with a paltry sum. As per a report by The Times of India on 26 January 2023, 1% of the rich population of India hold 40% of the wealth of the country. The report further reveals that the bottom half of the Indian population hold just 3% of the wealth of the country. According to a report of Oxfam International quoted by Th

KERALA IS ON HOT DISCUSSION ABOUT GOD

Image
Politicians who were busy in turning the tables and snatching chairs have suddenly become theologians and philosophers. One may be envied in their unfathomable knowledge about the Almighty God. Some of them talk as if they are in close contact with the God. Others express their proficiency and familiarity with the Supreme One. Their expression always trend towards my God and your God. None of these intellectuals have the basic knowledge that there is only one God; no 'my God' and 'your God'. He is the Creator of you and me. When He is your Father, He is my Father too. If you move further ahead, there is none other than and nothing other than the ever living One in the whole universe. There are umpteen amount of stories about God in our country. Let us try to know the truth that no one has ever seen the all powerful One or heard His voice. Let us learn little more that God cannot be contained in human brain. Try to see God in others. To sum up I must add that

LARGE SETTLEMENT OF WORKERS FROM OTHER STATES IN KERALA

Image
As per available information an estimated number of 50 lakhs migrant workers are in Kerala in 2023. Most of these workers are found in building construction work, brick kiln, plantation etc. According to an estimate of 2021 about 26 percent of the workforce in Kerala are migrant workers from other states. The remittance made by these workers to their homes is approximately Rs 7.5 billion per annum. Of late, it has been found that good number of these workers involved in criminal activities like narcotics traffic, sexual assault, burglary etc.  Some of these migrant workers are reported to have used by political parties. We may find soon that a good number of these workers will move to become settled in Kerala permanently. On the other hand it has been noticed that a large per cent of students from Kerala gone for higher studies in other countries like Canada, Australia, UK etc are trying to settle in the respective countries.  They are also reported to have taken their pare
